About this site...........

This site has been designed to bring together the History of the N.S.G. into a resource for both current and future members and will eventually include full listings of catches reported by members from the Group's formation in 1963 to the present day. The site was originally created as a HNC college project and it includes some features specifically required by that purpose. As more material is brought together some additional features may be added and less relevent ones reconsidered.

Many more photo contributions from members have been promised and will shortly be included in the site (!).
Details of updates will be found on the News page, together with any relevant recent events.

Details of any planned events will be shown together with a schedule of Group Meetings.

A great many photos of specimen fish are included in various locations on the site........
The Gallery pages show a selection of images from elsewhere on the site and will be refreshed regularly, photos of fish caught by each member can be seen by clicking on their name on the Members page and clicking on the name of each species on the NSG Records page will access an illustrated listing of previous Group record fish, a photo gallery of specimens and a historical listing of captures by NSG members. Details of winners of the Group's eight annually awarded Trophies are also included.
Throughout the site, clicking on a picture thumbnail will link to a larger image, often with details about the capture.

An up-to-date listing of current freshwater British Record Fish Commitee accepted records and a list of other potential record claims is included on the British Records page.

Some Fishermen's Tales will hopefully be included, as soon as suitable authors have been persuaded to put pen to paper!

A short Quiz is included and will be developed more fully at a later date.

The site is still under development and will also be constantly updated as members continue to report more captures. Images can be sent via e-mail by clicking here and attaching your image(s).........jpeg format is prefered - around 600x400 pixels for landscape format and 400 x 500 pixels for vertical format shots. Please include details of the capture if possible.

Feedback or comments from members/visitors is always welcome.
