The Otter trophy was donated to the NSG by ?? in 19?? and is awarded annually to the
group member who is voted to have caught the best individual specimen fish that year.

In 2009 the trophy was awarded to Mike Green for a fly-caught pike
of 40lb 8oz from Chew Reservoir.

Stewart Shepherd took second place with a chub of 7lb 10oz from the Great Ouse.
Andy Gilling took third place with a tench of 11lb 13oz from a midland stillwater.
